Presentation with the Investment association – AI in Trading and Compliance

We recently partnered with the Iventsmet Association to deliver a short training session on AI in Trading and Compliance on 10 December 2025. The presentation cut through the hype to explain what AI is (and isn’t), then explored how firms are using it across investment management—from research and portfolio decision support to algorithmic execution—alongside the benefits and risks (including model opacity, bias, overfitting, and systemic risk).

We also covered the compliance and regulatory angle, including AI-enabled surveillance and communications monitoring, and the emerging expectations from regulators across key markets. The session went very well, with strong engagement throughout and a lively Q&A focused on practical implementation, governance, and responsible adoption.
